This offering is an outstanding example of a virtually new Porsche 911 Carrera T. 1984 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA CABRIOLET

This is a unique, highly modified ROW (Rest Of the World) 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet which has been properly certified to be driven in the United States as is shown with the plaque by the driver door opening. In 1995, the car was converted to the extra wide Turbo body and the original 3.2 liter engine upgraded to a highly modified Stage 3 Turbo by Proto Tech Engineering in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Specifically, the engine was upgraded by Proto Tech to their Stage 3 level which produces 580 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. Modifications include a Garrett turbocharger, upgraded intercooler, electronic wastegate controller, boost gauge, 3.3 liter Mahle 503 piston and cylinder set, stainless steel exhaust, upgraded clutch disc, top end engine rebuild, 3.31 turbo P/C’s, Bosch fuel injectors, Bosch fuel pump, Bosch spark plugs with Clewett Engineering high performance spark plug wires, HKS wastegate, MSD 6 series multiple spark discharge ignition, Promotive turbo fuel pressure regulator and much, much more. The 5 speed manual transmission was swapped for the stronger 930 OEM 4 speed transmission. The end result is an engine that produces 580 horsepower at 1.1 bar boost and, according to Proto Tech, will propel this Porsche from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 235 mph.

In 2015, the current owner had Proto Tech go through the entire Stage 3 engine adding a new 3.3 liter Mahle 503 piston and cylinder set, top end engine rebuild plus various other upgrades and a new clutch assembly. At the same time, Rennstatt Racing of Ann Arbor, MI tore down and inspected the 930 transmission and replaced the main shaft bearing, and synchro rings.

The exterior of this beauty is white, while the interior is mostly all new with seats covered in black leather. Additions include a roll bar, handsome 17” deep dish aftermarket wheels with Porsche center caps, 315/35 R17 Bridgestone tires in the rear and Goodyear ZR Comp T/A tires in the front which have approximately 80% tread remaining. A Momo Prototype black steering wheel with a Porsche emblem plus a dp-Motorsport Zimmerman 930 extra-long rear whale tail to cover the large intercooler have also been added.

The current owner bought the car in 2015. Since then he has driven the car only 6,000 miles. The vehicle odometer currently reads 130,148 miles. The vehicle comes with service records, a clean title and a Carfax which shows no accidents or damage reported. The air conditioner needs a recharge with a conversion to R134 refrigerant. There are some paint chips on the rear fenders in front of the wheel openings, as well as below the front bumper. The plastic rear window is hazy. The original 5 speed manual transmission was retained by the owner can be purchased for $3,000.

Regarded as a groundbreaking and iconic style when introduced as an all new model in 1949, This 1950 Ford was purchased in 1977 and completely restored during 2001 - 2002 by RM Restoration in Blenheim, Ontario (http://www.rmautorestoration.com/).

The restoration included complete disassembly, engine removal, cleaning the fuel tank, cooling system flush, a new water pump, new brakes, new interior and four coats of new paint. The bumpers and grille assembly were rechromed. The following parts were replaced: grille extensions L & R, parking lamp bezels, hood emblem assembly, door mirror, radio antenna, door handles, trunk hinges, tail light bezels, trunk emblem, hubcaps, tires, sill plates, all rubber stripping and window seals. All stainless steel trim was polished. The steering wheel was refinished, and both under dash and underhood wiring harnesses were replaced. The engine bay was cleaned & restored, and the suspension degreased, The only thing that is not original is the exterior paint color, which is now cherry red. The radio is original and worked fine for many years, but appears to have a connection issue now.

The seller remembers that the author of the article written on this car (https://www.motortrend.com/features/1949-1951-ford/) asked what he liked best about the car. He replied, " It has always appealed to me because it is so much fun to drive something that is so unique. It's like going back in time.” He added, “My greatest thrill in owning and driving this car is that anyone over the age of 50 waves and sometimes whistles when they see the car drive by. For them and for me, it brings back so many memories.”

The odometer shows 96,426 miles and was at approximately 96,000 when restored. Since then, it has been driven no more than 50-75 miles per year. The tires are new duplicates of the originals. Lap belts have been installed for the front and rear seats. Spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, points were replaced in 2020 and the carburetor was rebuilt earlier. The battery is brand new (April, 2025). It starts, runs, and drives as it should.

This low mileage Carrera S will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.1 sec., 0- 100 mph in 10.2 sec., with a top speed of 179 mph. Its options include the Sport Chrono package, AM/FM/CD Bose audio with trip computer. Additions include a third front radiator and a Parrot Bluetooth/phone module.

Disclosures: The Carfax report (available on request, and showing a higher value than the asking price) indicates a front end accident 4/28/22, resulting in it being declared a total loss for insurance purposes. There was no damage to the main body structure, so the current owner purchased it in March, 2023, and replaced the driver side airbag, front fascia, hood, passenger side fender, repaired the upper fender mount, had the front end repainted. The RF headlamp and wheel were also replaced, and the car was properly aligned. As a result, it now runs, drives and handles as it should. There is a small damaged area on the passenger side of the rear fascia, at the juncture of the rear wheel well.

Tires are recent staggered size 19 in. Yokohama Advan Apex, on Porsche “Lobster Claw” wheels.

The car has been well maintained, with frequent oil & filter changes, and yearly brake fluid flushes. The transaxle fluid was changed in Sept., 2024. The current DME scan shows 0 ignitions in ranges 4, 5, and 6., with total operating hours = 1024.2. It was last serviced (oil & filter changed) 11/8/24, at 31,343 miles, with a full inspection, by Porsche Ann Arbor.

This 997S has a clean Michigan title. Included are all books and records during ownership. It is ready for its new owner to enjoy, for driving enjoyment and miles of smiles.
