It is not often that we get a truly outstanding vehicle to sell. However, this BMW fits that category. The body and paint have virtually no defects, the interior is very clean, everything works, and the car has been driven only 31,664 miles since it was new, twenty years ago.

1982 PORSCHE 911 SC

Presented here is a one owner 1982 Porsche 911 SC (Super Carrera) coupe. It is finished in its original Platinum color paint; only the front hood has been repainted, due to rock chips. The interior, which was redone ten years ago, is chocolate brown, matching the original interior.

Its fuel injected 3.0 liter air cooled aluminum block flat six cylinder engine was completely rebuilt in 2020 by Renn Haus in Sarasota, FL at a cost of $26,218. Oversize JE pistons were used, increasing the bore, thereby increasing displacement to 3.3. liters. The car has been driven approximately 20,000 miles since the engine rebuild. The motor is connected to a 5 speed manual 915 transmission. This powertrain, combined with a vehicle weight of only 2700 pounds, results in a peppy vehicle that will accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately six seconds and achieve a top speed of 130 mph, both very respectable numbers in 1982. Additionally, Renn Haus replaced axle boots, shift shaft seal and corrected leaking oil lines and oil tank.

The vehicle is equipped with a power retractable sunroof, air conditioning, an aftermarket upgraded radio and electrically adjustable side view mirrors. Its Fuchs wheels are in very good condition, as are the General Altimax RT tires. Body panels are straight and the paint is in very good condition. There are several areas around windows where rust bubbles are starting to develop (see photos) although there does not appear that there is any rust on the floor pan or the front trunk. The driver seat shows wear on the outside bolster (see picture). The vehicle has a clean Carfax with no accidents or damage reported. Sixty three 4 x 6 photos showing the engine rebuild and the interior with seats removed are included with the sale, as is the receipt for the engine rebuild.

Offered here is a completely restored 911 SC (Super Carrera) coupe, finished in Guards Red with a black interior. Prior to its purchase by the previous owner in 2012, the original rust-free Arizona car received a complete disassembly and bare metal restoration in California, repainted in its original Guards Red color. The original numbers matching engine, transmission and the limited slip differential have been rebuilt. New brake pads & rotors were added. Suspension components were replaced as necessary and all refinished. The interior restoration included a new headliner and door panels, a recovered dash pad, recovered seats and new carpets. All clamps, caps and hardware were replated. It is a “matching numbers” car, with the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, citing the car’s original serial, engine and transmission numbers.

Disclosures: The odometer now shows 7,893 miles since restoration, when the speedometer was repaired or replaced, and prior/total mileage is unknown. There are two small stone chips on the hood, which may be seen in the photo gallery.

Recent additions include a new VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR European Style audio head unit Radio / USB /MP3/WMA/Bluetooth (an Audion 520 watt amplifier under the passenger seat was previously installed), and new Kenwood door speakers. Also added were a new steering wheel (original in great condition included), new front Coco Mats, a new Rennline rubber grip aluminum dead pedal, a Rennline transmission shift carrier shift rod bushing with billet shift bracket. Phone charging and GPS power cables have been added. The A/C system (converted to R134a) was just tested & recharged, and it blows cold (490F ).

Included are detailed service records and receipts during the restoration and since, the Porsche Certificate Of Authenticity, tool roll, jack, spare tire and compressor, front license plate bracket, a car cover, old/replaced parts (pistons, headers, exhaust, etc.) and a clear Michigan title.

1955 PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER REPLICA

This Porsche Speedster is a real attention getter. It’s gleaming two stage white paint, chrome Fuchs wheels, the low cut windshield, and the wide body fender flares say “Look at me.” Additionally the custom stylized interior with its special VDO gauges just enhances this special vehicle’s unique appearance.

The vehicle started its life as a 1974 Volkswagen chassis and engine. The fiberglass custom body was created and produced by Miami Street Beast, manufacturer of custom fiberglass kit replica bodies for such vehicles as the 1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe, 1934 Chevrolet, Shelby Cobra and the 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster.

The car was sold unassembled to the current owner in 2013 by a private owner from Toledo, Ohio. In the following five years, the body was meticulously assembled and painted by American Collision Experts and mechanically assembled and enhanced by Munk’s Motors, both located in Waterford, Michigan. It was completed in 2018 and registered for the road for the first time that year. In addition to the unique wide body, there are a number of other custom touches, including front and rear nerf bars replacing the bumpers, and headlight guards. A Porsche emblem adorns the hood and Porsche 1600 nomenclature is on the trunk lid.

This ultralight vehicle is powered by a dual carburetor VW 1600 cc flat four cylinder engine connected to a four speed manual transmission. The car starts immediately and runs and drives well. It has a nice exhaust rumble and is relatively quick in part due to its small size and light weight. Stopping power is provided by front disk brakes and rear drum brakes. A modern Pioneer radio and speakers complete the interior. The convertible top is in good condition and side curtains bolt into the doors, just like the original Speedster.
